原始语种摘要: This chapter presents an overview on the use of mass spectrometry assays for drug measurement in biosamples. Drug measurement in biological specimens, particularly in the context of therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM), requires the availability of robust and well-validated laboratory assays in order to render clinically useful information. Among several available analytical methods, mass spectrometry measurement systems, preferentially coupled to liquid chromatography, are currently the mainstay of assays for TDM. These methods usually present the required sensitivity for measurement of drug concentrations in small specimens, including dried blood spots, as well as the required specificity for clinical applications.
