英文摘要: Abstract(#br)Temperature-dependent refractive index of semiconductor germanium (Ge) near the absorption threshold has not been well studied theoretically and experimentally up to now. This paper presents a study of the temperature-dependent refractive index of Ge film near its absorption threshold (about 0.8 eV or 1550 nm), whose values deduced from the reflectivity and transmissivity of high crystalline Ge film fabricated on a fiber tip. Different from previous reports, which show a nearly linear relationship between refractive index and photon energy in the temperature range of −20–120 °C, an abnormal drop has been observed in the refractive index spectrum at the wavelengths near the absorption threshold.
