One technique emerging as an alternative in the ceramic products is the use of advanced thin coatings applied by means of chemical vapour deposition technology (CVD) which allows obtaining coatings with low friction coefficients and high hardness.(#br)The present study examines the application of a high-performance diamond-like-carbon (DLC) coating by CVD plasma enhanced (PECVD) on a glazed ceramic wall tiles, used as substrate.
