原始语种摘要: Water scarcity presents the century’s biggest challenge for humankind. Most fresh water in the world (roughly two-thirds) is used for growing crops. Agriculture thus is the largest sink for freshwater in the world. So, the most important challenge in agriculture is irrigation, which consumes 70 percent of the world’s fresh water [8]. Water scarcity directly translates in to food security.
