Production of Immobilized Paenibacillus sp. KIJ1 Xylanase Using Eudragit L-100 as a Potential Feed Additive

原始语种摘要: Partially purified xylanase from the Antarctic Paenibacillus sp. KIJ1 was non-covalently immobilized on Eudragit L-100 reversible soluble-insoluble enteric polymer. A maximal immobilization efficiency of 0.87 was obtained with final substrate concentration of 1.8% xylan at pH 6.0 and 50 °C. The optimum pH of the immobilized and free KIJ1 xylanase was 5.5 and 8.0–8.5, respectively, whereas both free and immobilized enzymes had an optimum temperature of activity at 50–60 °C. The immobilized KIJ1 xylanase could be repeatedly used in three consecutive cycles where the preparation was assayed at 50 °C with 1.8% xylan in 50 mM sodium phosphate (pH 6.0).
