Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) are cells released fromprimary tumor into bloodstream that associated with tumormetastatic and recurrence. Many studies reveal thatcirculating tumor cells are thought to play an importantrole in the poor prognosis of patient with hepatocellularcancer (HCC). HCC is a serious health problem worldwideespecially in China due to worse prognosis, high incidenceand high mortality. It is an urgent task to identifypotentially markers for early diagnosis, surgical treatment,improve management of patients and provide personalizedtherapy. There are many encouraging studies indicate thatCTCs has a great potential use as diagnosis markers forpatient with HCC.
