原始语种摘要: The paradox of the asymmetry in time, aka the arrow in time, is an artifact of the way in which the paradox is generally framed. It is said that for every disordering (entropy increasing) trajectory of the entropy through time in a confined, isolated macroscopic, system, there is a one-to-one correspondence with a velocity-reversed, ordering (entropy decreasing) trajectory; why then do we never witness those equally abundant self-ordering trajectories in nature? In a simple example, we show that there is a deep-seated flaw in the assumption that disordering and ordering trajectories appear in equal measure. Then, with the paradox removed, the opportunity for a simple, straightforward, mathematically based, physical basis for the asymmetry in time becomes relatively straightforward;...
