Conservation of spatial volume and the response of inertia and gravity

These concepts are predicated on the idea that free-space is composed of an energy field, in which all matter is immersed. It appears that space acts like a “flexible fabric” and this fabric is composed of a spatial energy field that the author calls the “SEF” (spatial energy field). This SEF has elastic qualities and wavelike properties that mimic an energy density field. The SEF represents what empty space is composed of. Another premise of this essay is that space has to be conserved and cannot be created nor destroyed. However, space may be stretched or contracted in order for conservation to occur. An object of mass displaces the volume of... space that it occupies and forces space outward to contract around the surface of the object in a conservation effort. Inertia results from the SEF resisting movement of a body at rest, or maintaining and resisting the change of velocity of a body in uniform motion. This essay proposes that a body at rest is contained and surrounded by curved space. For accelerating bodies, space resists displacement and reacts with a counter-force to increasing motion, resulting in the force of inertia. Gravity results from the SEF attempting to conserve its own volume by displacement and condensation on the surface of a body, trying to regain the volume it once had. Thus, gravity is a “pushing” force instead of a “pulling” force, although it would still be considered “attractive.” Contraction of space around a body gives rise to acceleration of other free-falling bodies with increasing force at decreasing distance based on the inverse square law. The analogy is, as with a tight rubber band drawn around a ball, any matter contained within the rubber band, will be forced onto the surface of the ball with acceleration. Space is attempting to compensate for its own displacement and striving to reach a higher state of entropy. It is proposed that the total energy of inertia and gravity emanates from the SEF, an invisible force of nature.
