英文摘要: An improved procedure for the preparation of benzo[4, 5]imidazo[2,1- a ]isoquinolines using PdCl2–PPh3 as catalyst was developed, featuring simple, sequential workup, good selectivity, and compatibility with a wide range of functional groups. Various ( Z )-2-bromovinylimidazoles and 2-chlorophenylboronic acids containing either electron-withdrawing or electron-donating groups were shown to smoothly undergo this sequence of reactions to generate the respective benzo[4, 5]imidazo[2,1- a ]isoquinolines in 62–77% yields.
