Tuberculosis and high blood pressure are two major diseasesthat affect human health. According to the WHO survey, tuberculosis is the ninth cause of death in the global.Nearly a quarter of the world's population suffers from highblood pressure, and hypertension has become an independentfactor in the death of certain diseases such as stroke andischemic heart disease. This article mainly discusses therisk factors of hypertension in pulmonary tuberculosispatients, and provides a scientific basis for the earlydetection and prevention of hypertension in tuberculosispatients. A total of 100 patients with tuberculosis wereenrolled in the study, 9 of them had hypertension. Patientdata were collected by querying medical records andquestionnaires. Logistic regression analysis was used toanalyze the... risk factors of pulmonary tuberculosis patientswith hypertension. The distribution of Age and BMI inpatients with hypertension and normal blood pressure wasstatistically significant. Univariate logistic regressionanalysis showed that age 50 years (OR (95% CI),8.640(1.079-76.251)) and BMI 24 (OR (95% CI),4.766(1.146-19.822)) were the risk factors for pulmonarytuberculosis with hypertension (P<0.05), whileMultivariate logistic regression analysis showed that onlyBMI ³ 24 (OR (95% CI), 4.766(1.146-19.822)) was the riskfactor for pulmonary tuberculosis with hypertension(P<0.05). We found that the prevalence of hypertension intuberculosis patients is higher, and the risk factors forhypertension are overweight/obese. Elderly age may also bethe risk factor of hypertension in tuberculosis patients, which need a further study expanding the sample.
