Change in the Resistivity of bcc and bct FeRh Alloys at First-Order Magnetic Phase Transitions

原始语种摘要: First-order magnetic phase transitions in the body-centeredtetragonal (bct) FeRh1- x Pt x and bcc FeRh1- y M y (M=Ir, Fe) systems were studied by means of electricalresistivity and magnetization measurements. The resistivityexhibits an abrupt decrease of 7∼43% at the first-ordertransition temperature from the antiferromagnetic to theferromagnetic state or the Curie paramagnetic state in thesesystems. This discontinuous change is interpreted in terms ofthe scattering of conduction electrons through the s-d exchangeinteraction by magnetic moments.
